This series of lectures examines these fundamental texts that inform art, literature, and the humane values at the core of our daily lives. Single tickets $15 each Speaker: Bruce Meyer PhD Bruce Meyer is the author of over 20 books of poetry, short stories, anthologies, criticism and over 100 articles. His hugely popular Great Books Series on CBC's This Morning are the network's best-selling audiocassette series. Earlier this year, Bruce Meyer recorded a series of conversations with Michael Enright on CBC Radio's The Sunday Edition called "Poetry is Life, and Vice Versa" about how to read and listen to poetry. Bruce Meyer holds a BA and MA from the University of Toronto and a PhD from McMaster University. He has taught Canadian literature, modern literature, British literature, rhetoric and composition, and creative writing at McMaster University, University of Windsor, University of Toronto, Seneca College, and Humber College. Meyer currently teaches English at the Barrie Campus of Laurentian University, where he is chief editor of The In Site, a poetry and short story magazine for students. Selected Publications:
